Hour #4
After the meeting lets out, I spend the next few minutes talking to Clay about how the Thrivetime business coaching program operates. One of the things that I hear repeated around the Thrivetime headquarters is that Clay and Dr. Z are dead set on mentoring millions. Clay asserts that mentoring millions starts with mentoring his own team.
As we continue walking around the headquarters, it’s clear that the rapid pace isn’t without purpose. When a client is running late or can’t make the appointment, that is when Clay, Marshall, and the rest of the coaches seize the opportunity to knock items out on their to-do list, which is not short.
No sooner than we make it back to The Box That Rocks — the Thrivetime Show broadcast studio where Clay and Dr. Z’s daily radio show comes to life — the fourth client comes in to get their meeting started.
This client is particularly interesting to me. A successful gym with three locations, I had heard of them before and was curious to hear what kind of strategies are being built and what results are being tracked with a client that is definitely not in the “just starting” phase.
The meeting starts off with some website tweaks (they take care of their clients’ creative services in-house — from website development to search engine optimization and everything in between.) I found this process to be interesting in how simple it was for these tweaks to go from the clients’ mouths directly to the person in charge of seeing those changes through — right in the middle of the meeting. That is definitely one benefit of having an entire creative studio in-house.
Next, I watched as Clay and his clients analyzed the week’s results on several fronts. Obviously, I can’t get into numbers, but this was interesting to watch. Both parties discussed what efforts were paying the best dividends.
As each meeting has concluded, action items were established for both parties.
