JustTulsa takes a trip to the Tulsa Cave House!

You’ve driven by it a thousand times and thought, “I wonder what it looks like inside…”

Here at JustTulsa.com, we recently had the pleasure of meeting Tulsa Cave House (Facebook/website) owner and historian Linda Collier. Linda was kind enough to invite us over for a tour of this great piece of Tulsa history, so were more than happy to pop in for a tour!

Sitting at 1623 Charles Page Blvd, the Cave House is just about a half mile west of downtown on 3rd Street.

If you’re interested in taking this tour for yourself, you can call the Tulsa Cave House at 918-378-1952. At $10 per person, it’s actually a really inexpensive way to have some fun on a Saturday or Sunday evening.

We had a blast visiting the Cave House and on behalf of JustTulsa, we want to sincerely thank Linda for having us over for the tour.

Okay — let’s get going!

We met up for lunch downtown and headed over to the Cave House at 1pm. Linda said she does these tours on the hour, so we showed up a few minutes early to snap a few pictures.

Sure enough — Linda had a group that she was taking on the tour when we got there. When the group finished up, we heard them talking about how cool the Cave House was.

After we introduced ourselves to each other, Linda — our most-bubbly and intelligent hostess — led us in through the door. We loved the clever use of the storm door, which was hinged at the top. (Pictured below)

The first room that we come into is somewhat of a living room, but the features and oddities inside say anything but “living room.” We immediately found her style of decor fascinating, eclectic, and just plain lovable.
